Wild West Motorsports Park

Warm weather, sun is out, light breeze and we are up in Northern Nevada. Sparks to be specific, borderline Reno and I couldn’t ask for a better location. Wild West Motorsports Park is the venue; a fast pace track with elevation change and some huge high speed jumps. As a team, we were in for an eventful weekend. Practice went great, the 53 pro-lite was running fast, but we wanted a little more speed so we went for a gear change prior to qualifying. Unfortunately, it was a poor choice and it caused us to dig and roll the truck. Due to damages we were unable to finish qualifying. With a lot to-do before the night race the crew and I hustled to get this truck ready for the main. With a new spindle and a new body we were able to get the truck on the line by race time. Starting in the rear meant I had to fight to the front. Due to time the gearing was not fixed and I had to run the race with improper gearing. After a flawless run and fighting for positions we had to settle for a 12th place finish in the main on Friday night.

Saturday night drew an even larger crowd and having our rig on the main pit row we received a lot of attention. After signing broken body panels and fan cards we buckled down for the night. After the gearing was fixed we set out for qualifying and ended up 7th for the night race. Saturday’s race was off to an awesome start, we pushed our way up and were battling for a spot on the box. Running 4th and 5th all night with fellow drivers Kyle Lucas and Jimmy Fishback I was almost to a 3rd finish. With only 2 laps remaining I was spun in a corner which set me back far. After the restart I got tangled up with some drivers out back and pushed me down even further. With a rather sour turn of events on Saturday it was still some great racing with some great drivers. I have to thank all my fans for all their support and coming out for some autographs. Huge props to my crew for getting my truck running after the rollover and all my sponsors for supplying us with the parts needed.
